In December 2010, Adrian Sobaru, an electrician working for the state television network, threw himself from the balcony of Parliament, wearing a shirt stating ‘You’ve killed our future’ - the message was directed against the Government and its tough austerity measures.

The government has reduced cost - a necessary move - by cutting all the salaries for those employed by the state instead of reducing the number of beurocrates and using more automation like web based transactions.
The people reacted rather timidly and really was no panic at all
