"We had a meeting with a representative of a well-know company who design all the Formula 1 circuit in the world. Now are exploratory talks and I expect the managers of this company in Bucharest .They aim to make a Formula 1 circuit in Romania, "stated on Thursday Minister of Regional Development, Cristian Petrescu, at a Tourism Fair in Berlin. He did not specify the company name. Earlier on Thursday the minister had scheduled a meeting with Tilke, known as the largest design company and projection of auto circuits. Petrescu added that the project could be developed in public-private partnership because the MDRT and budget state can not afford such an investment. In a partnership, the state would contribute with the land and infrastructure. Tilke began a project last year in Tarlungeni, Brasov, for an automotive circuit approved by FIA. Investment would be completed in 2014 and will enable self organization of all competitions, except Formula 1. Romania participates between March 7-11 at ITB Berlin, the largest tourism fair in the world both in size and in number of visitors. At Romania's stand are present about 45 exhibitors.
