Romania has established itself as an important middle-sized country within the European Union, says the Austrian Ambassador to Bucharest, Michael Schwarzinger. "It's not one of the biggest countries, nor one of the smallest ones," he tells The Diplomat – Bucharest. "But it is an extremely important country for Austria, because we have invested enormously in Romania. We have very strong and important economic ties."
