Less is sweeter, or is it?
After a record wine production in 2013, this year, less lucky in terms of weather, will bring up to 15 per cent less wine on the shelves and tables. In 2014, the countrywide wine production has been estimated at four million hectoliters of wine, ranking Romania in a gratifying 11th place in the whole world, within a top where leaders were countries such as Italy, France and Spain, data of The International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) shows.
