Monza Hospital records a threefold turnover in 2014

Monza hospital, part of international group Policlinico di Monza recorded a tunover of 9.5 million Euro in 2014, compared to 3 million in 2013, the company announced.

The patient number doubled compared to 2013, to 24.000 registered patients and the medical interventions grew four times to over 3.000 in 2014, from 800 in 2013. Also, the occupancy rate of hospital in 2014 was 65 per cent. According to the hospital representatives, the top intervention included coronary artery bypass with 126 interventions, 102 cases of valve plasties or replacements and several tumoral cases with 197 treated patients.

In 2014, the hospital invested 2 million Euro in medical equipments for opening new sections as neurosurgery, plastic and reconstruction surgery, otorhinolaryngology . In 2014, the hopital had 198 employees, compared to 100 employees in 2013 and plan to reach 300 employees, according to Carmen Dragan, the president of Monza Hospital. The cardian center of Monza Hopital numbered over 500 cardiac surgeries. Also, the Brain Institute, specializing in neurosurgery, developed in partnership with Monza Hospital delivered 430 interventions in 2014.

For 2015, Monza hospital expects revenues of 12 million Euro, with 30.000 patients in ambulatory service and over 4.000 interventions. The investments planned this year reach 1.5 million Euro for medical equipment and launch of new projects, such as the urology clinic, the thoracic surgery and Cardiostructural Clinic.
