BCR assigned more than five billion RON in loans for infrastructure between 2005-2015

The Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR) controlled by Austrian Erste Group, announced it exceeded the amount of five billion RON worth of loans for infrastructure projects developed by local public authorities in the 2005-2015 period

2016-08-20 02:23:43 - From the Print Edition

The largest share of the funds was attracted for the rehabilitation of highway infrastructure, county roads, as well as urban roads that are in the responsibility of local authorities. BCR supported the rehabilitation of the latter with almost 2.6 billion RON. Another important projects category referred to interventions dedicated to life quality improvements: the roads networks between isolated communities, rehabilitations of schools and hospitals, social buildings construction, social assistance and care centers for people with disabilities, water infrastructure, drainage and waste management.
Almost one million RON stood for co-financing of projects developed with European funds affiliated to the operational programs that Romania received in 2007-2013, especially the Regional Operational Programme and the Rural Development National Programme. In addition, there was the Medium Operational Sectorial Programme and the Trans-Borders Cooperation Programmes. Regarding the social infrastructure, BCR has financed approximately 1.7 billion RON basically for schools and hospital rehabilitation and energy efficiency projects for local field and historical site rehabilitation.
