Wizz Air invests 100 million Euro in its Bucharest base

In late May, Wizz Air announced the increase of its transport capacity by adding a new aircraft to its Bucharest base. Starting November 2016, the Romanian capital will have nine planes, according to Capital. The new aircraft, an Airbus A321, will serve the latest exotic route to Tenerife starting this autumn and will increase the frequency of existing routes to popular destinations. By allocating the new aircraft, Wizz Air announced an additional investment of 100 million Euro in its Bucharest base, and the total number of employees in Romania will exceed 600. In addition, the aircraft that will enter the airline′s fleet will contribute to the local economy, writes Capital, by supporting indirect jobs in the areas of airport operations, transport, hospitality and tourism. Moreover, throughout Romania, Wizz Air will support more than 3,300 jobs in related industries.
