Unemployment in Romania flattens out at 5.8 percent in October
Unemployment in Romania in October 2016 stayed at 5.8 percent, the same as one month before, according to data released on Tuesday by the National Statistics Institute (INS), Agerpres reads. 2016-11-30 12:42:27
The difference between male and female unemployment was 1.8 percentage points, 6.6 percent to 4.8 percent, while the difference between unemployment in rural and urban areas was of just 0.1 percent, 5.9 percent to 5.8 percent.
"The number of unemployed aged between 15 and 74 estimated for October 2016 was 522,000, like the one in the previous month, but down y-o-y from 613,000," according to INS.
Adult unemployment was estimated at 4.7 percent in October 2016 (5.6 percent male unemployment and 3.6 percent female unemployment), with its number making up 76 percent of the total estimated October 2016 unemployment.
