Cristian Covaciu, founder of IPEC, nominated EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 in Romania

Cristian Covaciu, founder of IPEC company, was nominated the winner of EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 competition and will represent Romania at the world final in Monte Carlo, in June 2017.

IPEC is an important player on the household products market, with advanced manufacturing technologies. The company has annual revenues of 22 million Euro, 800 employees and 250 industrial robots, with almost 40 million products made every year.

At the ceremony attended by more than 250 representatives of the business community, Daniel Dines, CEO UiPath, was named Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, and Angela Achitei, president of "Alaturi de voi" Foundation – Social Entrepreneur of the Year.

For the first time, there was an excellence award which recognizes the family business. Family Business Excellence Award went to Buluc family, who runs the Farmexim group, made up of three companies: Farmexim, Help Net Farma and Green Net.
