E-Distributie Dobrogea invested 11 million RON to modernize Mircea Voda station
E-Distribution Dobrogea has invested about 11 million RON (2.4 million Euro) for the modernization of the Mircea Voda transformation station from Calarasi County, which supplies electricity through the medium and low voltage network for over 13,000 customers in the western half of Calarasi. 2017-07-11 14:36:01
The 110/20 kV transformation station Mircea Voda was put into operation in 1979 and only maintenance works have been carried out since then. Upgrading works began in October 2015 and were staged to maintain continuity in the electricity supply to consumers.
As a result of the replacement of old equipment with automated equipment with a very low gauge, the area of land used was reduced by 40 per cent. On the remaining land area was set up an ecological storage platform for the power equipment with potential for pollution, provided with a facility for taking over and purifying the oil contaminated waters.
The project is part of the extensive investment program implemented by Enel companies in Romania to improve the quality of services offered to customers, to modernize the network and to implement the environmental standards of the Enel Group locally.
