Citi Romania appoints Ivan Vrhel as general manager

Citi announced the appointment of Ivan Vrhel as general manager of Citi Romania, keeping at the same time the current responsibilities as director of Citi Commercial Bank division for SMEs.

Ivan Vrhel will be responsible for the elaboration and implementation of local strategy of the bank, as well as for an efficient management of risks and controls. Also, he will coordinate the relation of the banks with corporate clients, public sector clients, regulation authorities and Government institution.

Ivan Vrhel started his career within Citi Czech Republic in 2004 as management associate, where afterwards held several management positions and in 2014 he moved in Romania to take the role of local division Citi Commercial Bank.

He will replace Tibor Pandi, who, after seven years of leading Citi Romania, has taken over the role of CEO of Citi Thailand.
