"The energy field has undergone significant changes in the past years, mainly due to the introduction of new technologies, which resulted in a simplification of processes for electricians but also the need for new competencies. The companies in the Enel Group have adopted a Creating Shared Value business model, for the sustainable development of the company and the community. This programme will not only support the formation of young people who wish to become electricians, but will also provide them an opportunity for a job in the E-Distributie companies, after graduation", said Federico Panone, General Manager E-Distributie Romania.
The registration days for the "Future electrician" class are 15, 18 and 19 June, 2018. The candidates need to go to the secretariat of the school where they are currently studying, together with a parent or a legal tutor and request the form for the vocational state education system. Then, they need to go to the Energy College, where they will be instructed on how to fill in this form and the form for options of the dual education system.
An important component of the programme is the practical formation, both in the laboratories of the College and in the sites of E-Distributie Muntenia. In the first year of the studies, at least 20 per cent of the classes will be on the sites of E-Distributie Muntenia, and this share will rise to 60 per cent in the second year and to 70 per cent in the third year. The practical formation will include mentoring with specialists and tutors of E-Distributie Muntenia, specially trained for this activity.
The programme is organised in the dual-class system, which means the E-Distributie Muntenia will support the College through-out the 3-year duration of the class. The company will award the students a monthly scholarship of 200 lei, in addition to the 200 lei scholarship provided by the institutions in the vocational education system.
Moreover, E-Distributie Muntenia will support the expenses for various needs of the students, such as medical examinations for occupational health, compulsory medical investigations, daily lunch, transport and accommodation expenses for students who do not live in Bucharest, transport expenses within Bucharest, field visits.
After graduation of the three-year class, the students will be certified as electricians of power stations, substations and electrical grids, enabling them to be hired as medium voltage or medium-low voltage electricians in substations or as electricians for measurements, verifications and energy recovery.
Those who wish to become team-leaders can continue their studies with the foreman courses, but also as engineers, by joining a specialised university. Students have the option to continue their studies, and take their baccalaureate degree, while also being employed.
