CTP: smart expansion in a growing market

CTP, the most dynamic logistics and industrial parks developer in the country, will soon become a "millionaire" in square meters of premium logistics space. The company experienced a spectacular evolution in recent years, becoming number one on the logistics market in Romania.

2018-09-21 11:49:14

This year only, CTP will finalize over 300,000 sqm of high-quality logistics space, aiming at crossing the 1 million sqm threshold at national level, by the end of 2018. The company far exceeds the performance achieved in 2017, when it delivered leasable surfaces totalling approximately 180,000 sqm.

Regarding the evolution of CTP, 2018 was a full year marked by the strengthening of the team, both locally and internationally. At the same time, the developer continued to build and deliver above market-quality warehouses. In the first part of the year, in
CT Park Bucharest West, CTPark Timisoara II and CTPark Pitesti, buildings totalling 130,000 sqm of leasable area have been completed.

New services in CTPark Bucharest West

CTPark Bucharest West is the fastest-growing industrial and logistics park in Romania. Here, two buildings with a total surface of more than 100,000 sqm have recently been completed and delivered to several existing customers, most of them operating in the logistics field. Simultaneously, the construction works for two other warehouses, which will occupy a cumulated area of approximately 200,000 sqm, were started.

CTPark Bucharest West is designed to become the most important industrial and logistics park in the region in terms of built-up area, speed of development and quality above market standards. Therefore, CTP investment plans for this property include the increase of the number and type of facilities and services provided for the tenants, to ensure the growth of their businesses in the best conditions.

Some of the modern retail facilities that will be offered in CTPark Bucharest West in the following period include: a canteen with a capacity of up to 3,000 people per day; a medical office open for people working in the park; a building with accommodation units for employees; transport to neighbouring villages and towns; support for recruiting workforce; CTBox storage facilities (a concept that provides space for presentation, storage and office work in a single 500 sqm unit); a new gas station, supermarket, laundry, truck park.

In addition, the main road that crosses the park will be enlarged to create more space for tenants and to streamline the traffic. Significant improvements are also announced in terms of infrastructure in the area. Local authorities intend to develop a new bridge over the A1 highway, which will decongest the traffic, helping both the further development of CTP′s tenants' businesses in the industrial park situated at km 23, as well as the local community.

Low costs

Reducing the energy footprint is a permanent challenge for the company, and the results of a recent study conducted by the developer show that the new CTP-built buildings have the highest energy efficiency in the market, generating energy savings of up to 40%.

One of the measures implemented by the company is the continuous improvement of technical specifications, therefore the newest units built by CTP rise above market standards.

The figures:
40 per cent - decrease of energy consumption (new production facilities)
36 per cent - decrease of energy consumption (new storage facilities)
300,000 sqm - premium logistics spaces to be completed this year (Romania)
1 million sqm - annual growth targeting at group level
1 million sqm - the company′s portfolio in Romania by the end of 2018
10 million sqm by 2020 - goal for the international portfolio
