SDEE Transilvania Sud, part of Electrica Group, supports dual education project in Brasov
The Electricity Distribution Company Transilvania Sud, part of the Electrica Group, supports the establishment of a dual education classroom (electrical profile) at the “Mircea Cristea” Technical College in Brasov, starting with the school year 2019-2020.
General Manager Electrica SA, Corina Popescu, and SDEE Transilvania Sud General Manager, Sinan Mustafa, signed the partnership agreement with the Mayor of Brasov, George Scripcaru, and the representatives of the college.
“Our business model is based on sustainable development, the concern for the positive impact we have in the communities in which we operate is a priority for the Electricity Group. We continue to invest more and more in Romania and do not just do it in distribution networks. We invest first and foremost in people, both in Group employees and in our future colleagues. This partnership will support the training of young people who will become electricians and give them the opportunity to graduate from the Electrica Group. Moreover, we intend to develop this project at the level of all the distribution operators within the Group, “said Corina Popescu, General Manager of Electrica SA.
Based on this partnership, SDEE Transilvania Sud will provide for a number of 28 students of the “Mircea Cristea” Technical College in Braşov a monthly grant of 500 RON, excellent conditions of practical training, including in the Transylvania Sud SDEE facilities, and work and protective equipment. After obtaining the qualification for the job of a low voltage electrician, graduates will have the opportunity to be hired in SDEE Transilvania Sud or other companies in the Electrica Group.
