Bogdan Badea, Hidroelectrica: “All actors in the energy market should create a solidarity fund that targets the vulnerable consumer”

Consumers have not won anything from GEO 114, because the energy price from Hidroelectrica to the customer is below the regulated price, according to Bogdan Badea, CEO of Hidroelectrica.

“Caring for the end consumer was a false problem. If we are concerned about the final consumer, all actors in the energy market should create a solidarity fund that targets only the vulnerable consumer,” he said during the “Energia in priza” conference organized by Bursa newspaper.

According to Badea, Hidroelectrica is closer than ever to listing on the stock exchange. “GEO 114 led to a decrease of the company’s revenues,” Badea said. “If we go ahead with listing in 2020 as we wish, the state will earn less from the Hidroelectrica listing.”
