Paula Pirvanescu, President of Romanian Business Chamber, calls on the Government to save Romanian startup companies which, during this period, are facing a difficult struggle for economic survival.
She asks for financial compensation for companies organizing events such as business forums, conferences, fairs, exhibitions, which were canceled following the COVID-19 crisis. RBC also proposes the establishment of a solidarity fund of one billion Euro to support micro-enterprises and liberal professions that had losses between March 2019 – March 2020 (50% of the turnover).
One other proposed measure is the acquisition of drones by the state for monitoring the persons in isolation during the COVID-19 crisis.
