Hidroelectrica completes refurbishment for hydroaggregate at Stejaru power station
Hidroelectrica has completed the refurbishment process for its hydroaggregate (HA) no. 6 of the CHE Dimitrie Leonida (Stejaru) hydroelectric power station.
The fully refurbished generating group is the first delivered for commercial operation of the six hydroaggregates from Stejaru. HA6 enters a new life cycle, also benefiting from an increase in power from 50 to 55 MW.
For the refurbishment of the CHE Dimitrie Leonida – Stejaru, the contract was signed in 2015 between Hidroelectrica and the Association Romelectro SA & Litostroj Power doo Slovenia. Total value of the contract is around 75 million Euro.
“The total value of the investment covering the hydro-aggregate, its auxiliary installations and the connection installations up to the point of connection to the National Energy System is 9.9 million Euro. It is an important work not only for Hidroelecrica, but also for SEN. We need to continue investments, secure our portfolio objectives and introduce the aggregates into a new life cycle and commercial operation,” said Bogdan Badea, president of the Hidroelectrica directorate.
