Distributie Oltenia to invest 59 million Euro in smart metering, digitization projects

Distributie Oltenia will invest approximately 59 million euros in intelligent metering projects and the modernization of transformer stations.

The funds will also be used to implement an advanced distribution management system (ADMS), an advanced power grid asset management system (AMS) and an integrated Smart Grid Connect system.

Distributie Oltenia has started digitization projects that are in different stages of approval, respectively implementation, for the benefit of final consumers in Arges, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti, Olt, Teleorman and Valcea counties.

Distributie Oltenia ensures power distribution to 1.4 million customers in seven counties.  Activities of the distribution service include operation, maintenance and development of electrical equipment, in order to distribute electricity from producers to consumers, in terms of safety in the operation of electrical installations, operational safety, ensuring quality parameters and reducing costs for maintenance and reparations.
