Romania vows to support HoReCa, transportation companies with 350 million Euro program, Secretary of State Rogojinaru says
Romania is preparing a 350 million Euro program to support companies affected by COVID-19 in areas such as HoReCa and transportation, according to Liviu Rogojinaru, State Secretary, Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment.
“We want to organize five national fairs, for industry, agriculture, IT&C, tourism and one on services and consumer goods. With the help of these fairs, we want to promote Romania in front of foreign investors,” he said during the online conference SUSTAINABILITY IN BUSINESS – Practice what you Preach.
“We have several projects in progress. We want to create an investment fund that supports several areas, on the Polish model. The Start-up Nation program could begin in October. (…) Over 4,000 companies have received funds so far through the IMM Invest program. We are in discussions with the Ministry of European Funds and the European Commission to draw up guidelines for multiple programs. We also want a program of 100 million Euro to be operational between July 20-23, through which to offer vouchers of 2,000 Euro for a number of 50,000 SMEs. At the same time, we want to allocate funds for Romanian companies to become digital, we try to create packages that we can make available to them,” Rogojinaru said.
