Andrei Găman, FintechOS: “Fintech companies focus on customer, while traditional banks used to focus on products. This is the key mind shift that needs to happen”
“We all learned how to understand the saying of Carpe Diem and live in the moment both personally and on the business side. We learned a lot of things during the pandemic. Working from home is here to stay and we will all do this,” Andrei Găman, Regional Sales Director – Eastern Europe, FintechOS said during the Digital Transformation Conference – Fintech & Banking.
“Financial institutions have proved that they can actually move fast and without sacrificing quality and without sacrificing security. Technology provided a great way forward for doing that. People in more traditional situations were more willing to reinvent processes. Decisions were taken much faster. Each of the financial institutions found a way to engage the customers in a more personalized way. Banks were more willing to engage customers in a personalized way, to anticipate their needs and come forward with solutions.
Banks are learning from fintechs, we are here to help banks learn faster and behave like fintechs faster. The transformation is happening all around the banking sector. Fintech companies focus on customer, while traditional banks used to focus on products. This is the key mind shift that needs to happen.
The fintechs thrive because they come up with a fresh approach, a seamless process. There are no barriers in entering a business relationship with a fintech, it’s easy to work with a fintech.
I see financial services as an extension of my favourite app on my mobile phone that I can access with ease, that is aware of my most intimate desires and wishes and can resolve my problems in minutes instead of weeks. Customers are willing nowadays to share a lot of information. Data is key of understanding the customer behavior.”
