The fifth edition of the International Conference “Regional South-East European Conference – RSEEC 2020 will take place online between October 12-14, 2020.
It is a biennial event traditionally organized by the Romanian National Committee CIGRE (International Council of the Seas Electrical Systems), with the support of the National Electricity Transmission Company Transelectrica SA and the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, as co-organizers.
The RSEEC 2020 conference is a major event in the energy field and offers an opportunity for Romanian energy professionals and the business environment to present the results of their work and research.
In the current context of technological evolution and innovation, the partnership between the National Electricity Transmission Company Transelectrica SA, the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and the Romanian National Committee CIGRE creates the right framework for promoting energy innovations, education, research and development programs at high level and projects of young professionals.
The conference brings together energy specialists, decision makers, researchers, representatives of the university environment, students and other participants at national and international level, the conference program being made starting from current topics.
The event will present papers and tutorials that discuss topics of interest such as the state of technology for the electricity networks of the future, new equipment, environment and sustainability, active transmission and distribution networks, smart cities, the key factor of electricity for the development of society. .
In order to promote young people, during the event, will be organized for the second time the contest dedicated to them – “Next Generation in Energetics”. It is a competition with prizes that offers students, masters and doctoral students the opportunity to present their results in a different context from the university environment, in the presence of specialists from over five countries. In addition, the best papers will be proposed by the Technical Committee for publication in the scientific journal “Bulletin of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest”, a journal with the International Scientific Index.
The conference partners include A-LSTR (Romanian Work Association), SIER (Romanian Society of Energy Engineers), CNR-CME (Romanian National Council of the World Energy Council of Romania), Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava and Energy Commission of the Department of Technical Sciences of the Romanian Academy.
