Hidroelectrica has launched the tender for the repair of overflow dam at Portile de Fier I
Hidroelectrica launched today in the electronic public procurement system (SEAP), the open tender for the design and execution works for the investment “Additional protection measures for Portile de Fier I overflow dam. The “turnkey” type contract is estimated at 58.14 million lei without VAT, and the deadline for submitting bids is December 7 , 2020.
Located downstream of the dam, the heat sink at the Portile de Fiers I is a particularly important part of the construction in terms of the safety of the objective on the Danube. From a technical point of view, the realization of the project is indispensable in preventing the risk of additional damage to the heatsink spur, with implications for affecting the gallery system of the overflow dam.
“The Danube riverbed has undergone morphological changes in certain areas, as shown by measurements made over time. The need to repair the constructions, which have been in operation for over 48 years, was established in the Romanian-Serbian Joint Commission by the two partners operating jointly SHEN Iron Gates I. The parties decided that the project should be carried out by each beneficiary. on its area of responsibility,” said Bogdan Badea, president of Hidroelectrica and added: I would like to note the fruitful collaboration with the Serbian partner and his openness to dialogue and solutions, which confirms – once again, both the friendship between the two nations and the preservation over the years of the commitments made in carrying out joint projects”
“I appreciate that the works put up for auction today are absolutely necessary and have a special complexity: the execution involves the use of special installations, such as the self-erecting platform, as well as the involvement of a specialized workforce, in which the share of construction divers is significant.” Bogdan Badea, president of the Hidroelectrica board of directors.
“We want the works at the Iron Gates I to be completed within three years of signing the contract with the winner of the procurement procedure, thus contributing to increasing the security of the most important objective in our company’s portfolio.”
The main types of works to be performed refer to underwater cleaning and preparation of foundations, making the screen from perforated columns, making a continuous screen with steel elements, mounting the horizontal metal structure, concreting works between the continuous screen and the dam sink. The project is to be executed “on water and under water”, and involves, among others: water transport, loading-unloading operations of construction materials, large diameter water drilling, underwater concrete pouring works, diving, metal fabrication and underwater assembly.
Also, the services and works that are the subject of this contract involve project management activities consisting in coordinating the works, services, procurement activities, transport, delivery, execution, testing, verification and receptions, so that a turnkey project can be delivered. ”, Respecting all the requirements of quality, health and safety at work and environmental protection, as they derive from the national and European requirements.
