Arval Romania appoints new general manager
With over 20 years of experience in B2B services in the automotive industry, of which the last 14 years at Arval Romania, Dan Boiangiu will take on an international role at Arval’s headquarters in Paris. The Romanian branch of the company specialized in full-service operational leasing will be managed, starting January 1st, 2021, by Roxana Lupescu.
One of the longest-serving executives in the operational leasing industry in Romania, Dan Boiangiu played a crucial role in the development of this service on the local market. Since 2006 as Commercial Director and since 2014 as General Manager, Dan Boiangiu has accompanied the development of Arval Romania, both from the perspective of the client portfolio, and especially from the point of view of consolidating the team, processes and operational tools.
“I am very happy to take a big step forward in my international career at Arval, but at the same time I am slightly nostalgic. I leave behind great memories related to the 14 years spent here, together with an extraordinary team with which we built a solid company from scratch, the largest operational leasing company in Romania in terms of turnover for the last 4 consecutive years. I am glad, however, that our success story will be carried forward by one of its major exponents, and the company’s situation at the moment is very solid, with a stable, professionally consolidated team and a robust portfolio of clients who declare themselves very satisfied with the quality of the services received,“ said Dan Boiangiu.
Roxana Lupescu will take over the position of General Manager starting January 1st, 2021. She joined the Arval Romania team 12 years ago, having various roles in the local structure, especially in the area of risk management, pricing or financial control. Chief Financial Officer since 2011, Roxana has consolidated her contribution to the development of the portfolio of products and services by coordinating and implementing numerous projects for digitization and automation of operational processes.
“I am happy and responsible for this new challenge. The pride of being part of the Arval Romania team is a major ingredient in the recipe for our success so far. I want to carry on this recipe together with the rest of the management team, a stable and competent team that consolidates a vast experience in this field, on all fronts. I am convinced that together we will be able to perpetuate the leading role of Arval in Romania in the development of new solutions that will satisfy the mobility need of our clients, which is in a continuous and rapid evolution,” said Roxana Lupescu when taking office.
“I have total confidence in the ability of Roxana and the Arval Romania team to perform. Arval Beyond, the new strategic plan that aims to position Arval as a global leader in sustainable mobility, will have important local challenges. The Romanian market is rapidly evolving towards opportunities to develop mobility trends, especially regarding the energy transition, alternative mobility solutions, but also the flexibility and digitalization of services. These will be the main medium- and long-term challenges to which Roxana’s professional skills are a very adequate answer. Moreover, in view of her experience and involvement in the last 12 years, I believe that Roxana will play an extremely important role in the continuity of service delivery to our customers, as we used to,” said Dan Boiangiu.
