Ministers Ghinea and Nasui announce the ‘unblocking’ of supporting measures for SMEs
Cristian Ghinea, Minister of European Investments and Projects, and Claudiu Nasui, Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, announce the ‘unblocking’ of the three financing measures for entrepreneurs and SMEs, launched in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The identified solution provides the necessary financial resources to fully cover the budget of the three support measures for entrepreneurs, including measure 3.
On January 15, the meeting with the European Commission for the notification of state aid schemes in the form expected by the dozens took place. thousands of entrepreneurs who submitted applications. The two ministers announce that the agreement for the measures will come in the week of January 22-26.
The three financing measures aim to support the business environment, which is severely affected by the COVID pandemic and its effects on business. Two of these take the form of grants: micro-grants, 2,000 euros, and working capital grants from 2,000 euros to 150,000 euros. In the case of the third measure, investment grants, the values are between 50,000 euros and 200,000 euros.
After the supplementation that took place in October last year, the measures no longer had all the funding provided. Specifically, 500 million euros were missing from European funds. Therefore, there were several discussions between the two ministers as well as between them and the European Commission, in order to identify a solution. The next step is for the budget to be adopted by parliament, with the new changes.
