The Romanian Government approved on Thursday, March 25, the Government Decision which provides for the granting of emergency aid to support the employees of the National Uranium Company – S.A. Bucharest.
In support of the employees of the National Uranium Company who face the risk of social exclusion due to arrears of payment of meal vouchers, emergency aid is approved from the budget of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection for 2021, up to 4.05 million RON .
The emergency aid is granted to cover the claims representing the value of the protection food provided by the collective labour contract for a part of the employees of the National Uranium Company – S.A. Bucharest.
“In order to solve the situation at the Crucea mining operation, we held talks with Prime Minister Florin Citu and with the Minister of Labour, Raluca Turcan. As I said before, at the Ministry of Energy we do not neglect the social side but look for solutions to leave no one behind. At the same time, we are going through a difficult process that cannot be implemented overnight, but we have concrete, quantifiable measures to solve the problem of the integrated nuclear circuit. We will need them in the process of closing the mine. After so many years in which things have been delayed, we will see a return of this sector of activity and we will all reflect on this achievement,” said Virgil Popescu, the Minister of Energy.
