Alina Paul, CEO DO Security: “Private security industry, important contribution to reducing crime through the prevention effect”
The private security industry has an important contribution to ensuring a climate of public safety through its preventive effect. During the pandemic, companies in the industry experienced an increase in business due to the need for security felt by companies and individuals alike.
Alina Paul, CEO of DO Security, explains: “The safety of large companies and individuals is increasingly important. What we do is to meet customer requests with a complex package of services, tailored to their needs and budgets, so that they feel safe at all times. We go to them with integrated security solutions that include security, continuous monitored security systems. This has led to a 15% increase in pandemic business due to the increased attention we have paid to customers’ needs, offering them mixed and innovative security solutions ”.
DO Security, a private security company, ended the year with a 15% increase in business, exceeding the level of 3 million euros. Instead, the company’s profit was lower by 30% amid major investments made during 2020.
“In 2020, we focused on consolidating the business, as a result we modernized the dispatching office, rebranded for DO Security and launched the first private DO FIRE division. These investments have ensured us throughout the pandemic year the increase of added value and a positive impact on our business. We are aware of what will follow and market trends, therefore, in 2021 our strategy is to focus on large customers to whom we offer complex solutions, diversified, and adapted to their needs. We understand the importance of private security and the contribution we have to reducing crime through the prevention effect, which is highlighted by the fact that Romania has become one of the safest countries in the region in terms of crime. The increase in the security of the population and companies is also due to a significant extent to the private security industry “, said Alina Paul. CEO DO Security also spoke about the constant transformation of the security industry that continues this year. “There is an increasing emphasis on integrated security solutions, visibility and multidimensional perception. We are also considering 5G technology, which will revolutionize the security systems industry and allow for unprecedented flexibility and mobility in the field and integrated solutions based on iCloud. Physical distances will no longer matter, access to critical information will be made in real time, allowing the best and fastest decisions. We want to expand nationally and become one of the big players in the Romanian market,” concluded Alina Paul.
