Economic sustainability and the European Ecological Pact, Central topics at the 9th edition of the Cluj Innovation Days conference
Cluj IT Cluster organizes on May 19-21, the ninth edition of the Cluj Innovation Days conference, which aims to analyze new models of sustainability in business and technology, bringing together specialists from various industries and laying the foundations for important cooperation between partners from the country and abroad.
The European Union, together with all its representative institutions and in collaboration with the Member States, allocates significant resources and proposes plans to transform Europe into a greener, more digital, more resilient version adapted to the current and future challenges that the continent will face .
Thus, the conference maintains its status as a platform for facilitating dialogue between relevant actors in the private sector, public authorities, research and development, by bringing to the fore the issue of economic sustainability and the European Green Pact launched by the Commission. European.
“The European economy is largely based on the strength and continuous development of the approximately 25 million SMEs currently active. But global evolution on multiple levels forces us to add the Planet in the spiral of sustainability. Clearly, this involves a process of transforming the economy and the way business is done. The transition to more resilient and eco-responsible business models depends on activating mechanisms to support organizations in adopting “green” processes through various innovations, including the adoption of large-scale digitization. These mechanisms must, of course, be anchored in the existing needs at the level of industries, but also in the opportunities that emerge from the crisis situation we are currently going through globally. Through the 2021 edition of Cluj Innovation Days we aim to open a platform for debate and discovery of new horizons for economic growth of small and medium companies by adopting “green” business models based on digitalization, but also to reveal the existing perspective at the level national and European authorities in relation to the transition to a Europe with low CO2 emissions, more robust and responsive to crises of various forms, “said Stelian Brad, President of Cluj IT Cluster.
The ninth edition of the Cluj Innovation Days conference is organized within the Future Skills program, implemented by Cluj IT Cluster in partnership with the Cluj Employers and Craftsmen Association and the Informal IT School.
The project brings a number of benefits and support actions designed to facilitate a smooth transition through the processes of digitization and organizational transformation. The project approach involves a skills-focused model, in which both the employee and the company can access knowledge, expertise and specialized support for personalized lifelong learning programs and on-the-job learning programs. This year the conference will take place on May 19-21 online.
