Aqua Bilbor to invest 10 million Euro in development by the end of 2023
Aqua Bilbor, the producer of the spring water, flat and carbonated water brand Izvoarele Călimani, plans to invest approximately 10 million Euro in the next two and a half years to reach a production capacity of over 100 million liters per year till the end of 2023.
This will involve the purchase of land in order to build new bottling and storage capacities, the development of new water sources and the purchase of equipment.
“In 2021, Aqua Bilbor aims to reach a production of 20 million liters and a turnover of up to 25 million lei. Also, during 2021, the management aims to invest 2.5 million Euro in constructing a production hall and a bottling line for 5L bottles”, says Constantin Degeratu, administrator of Aqua Bilbor.
Between 2022 and 2023, the management of Aqua Bilbor has planned investments worth approximately 7.5 million Euro to increase production and storage capacity to over 100 million liters/year.
Funding for the development comes from the company’s capital, banks and European funds.
Aqua Bilbor is the company that in 2019 bought Bilbor Mineral Water, a mineral water producer that since 2010 owned a factory in Bilbor, Harghita County. Since the acquisition, the company has invested in completing the factory with new machinery and modernizing the production and storage capacity to restart production. Thus, in the last two years, investments have amounted to 5 million Euro.
Izvarele Călimani, the only brand in the Aqua Bilbor portfolio, can be purchased in 0.5-liter bottles; 1.5 and 2 liters in carbonated and flat spring water categories.
The company’s management plans to relaunch the Aqua Bilbor natural mineral water brand with a premium category in 2022. Natural mineral water sources come from the Călimani Mountains, located in Harghita County, a region officially recognized as an area of natural purity and for natural mineral water aquifers rich in minerals.
