Enel X Romania builds two photovoltaic power plants with total capacity of 2 MW for Nimet
Enel X Romania is building two photovoltaic power plants with a total installed capacity of about 2 MW, for Nimet Targoviste, a producer of chromed steel bars and pipes.
The project has a value of about 1.5 million euros and involves the turnkey delivery of two systems that integrate over 4,100 high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, with mono-crystalline type cells, located at the two Nimet factories in Lazuri and Târgoviște, Dambovita County.
The project also includes an electric mobility infrastructure component, namely the installation of several charging points for electric vehicles at the two factories.
„Enel X Romania helps companies to identify the most appropriate technologies to make their energy consumption more efficient and, implicitly, for their business to become sustainable. By offering them reliable turnkey services and solutions for the local electricity generation with photovoltaic panels, our customers register significant savings in terms of energy costs, which are subsequently reflected in increased competitiveness. In addition, our solutions contribute to the protection of the environment, through the development of the electric mobility infrastructure as well. We are glad that Nimet chose Enel X Romania products, we remain a reliable partner in the energy transition”, said Mirel Jarnea, Head of B2B E-Industries, Enel X Romania.
“Combating pollution and the rational use of energy are part of our environmental policy. We found in Enel X Romania a reliable partner to achieve these objectives and to ensure the much-needed predictability in business, by securing electricity costs and having protection against any possible increase in electricity prices on the market. The two photovoltaic power plants represent a first step in the approach of Nimet, one of the main producers of chromed steel bars and pipes in Europe, to reach an installed photovoltaic capacity of 6 MW by 2023”, said Samy Numan, Managing Director, Nimet.
The photovoltaic systems mounted on the roof of Nimet factories will ensure an annual electricity production of about 2,350 MWh, contributing to the cut of carbon dioxide emissions by 740 tons / year.
