Metropolitan Life reports 31 percent increase in gross written premiums in the first half of 2021
Metropolitan Life announces a 31 percent increase in gross written premiums for the first half of 2021, compared to 2020. For the first six months of 2021, Metropolitan Life recorded gross written premiums amounting to 256 million RON, compared to the same period in 2020, when the value of gross written premiums amounted to 195 million RON.
“In the first half of the year we had a double-digit increase, and our strategy remains to ensure the financial protection of the over 2.5 million customers with life and pension insurance, in the best conditions and in line with their needs. Adaptation and agility are also strategic directions to which we have made every effort lately. We channel all our actions to offer, through each distribution channel, products, services and experiences as simple, as intelligent and in a safe environment as possible”, said Carmina Dragomir, CEO of Metropolitan Life.
Regarding the allowances paid for the first half of 2021, they had a value of 74 million RON, 41 percent more than the same period in 2020, when they amounted to 52 million RON.
