The Department for Sustainable Development organizes the “Circular School” conference on November 8
On Monday, November 8, starting with 10 AM, the Department for Sustainable Development within the Romanian Government organizes, in partnership with the City Hall of Buzau, the videoconference “Education of the Future for Sustainable Development. The Circular School, a model of good practice in quality education ”.
The event brings into debate two topics integrated into the circular economy:
• The need to promote education for sustainable development in the circular economy and to promote the model of good practice at national level of the first circular school in Romania.
• Integrated urban development – Buzau open city, strategic planning framework for the development of integrated circular economy projects
The circular economy means a lifestyle in which resources and services are used more intelligently to prolong their lives and minimize waste generation.
According to the data from a research on public opinion on the goal of responsible consumption and production, on the issue of transition to circular economy, Romanians almost completely agree on the benefits of the new model of life. The same majority considers it essential to systematically improve the way in which recycling, selective collection and distribution of food are implemented at national level, in order to facilitate the transition.
Among those who will speak during the conference are State Councilor László Borbély, Buzau Mayor Constantin Toma and Adviser of the Education Minister Radu Szekely.
