Medicover Group revenues up by 43 percent in the first nine months
Medicover reported a 43 percent increase in revenues between January and September, compared to the same period last year, with total revenues exceeding one billion euros. Medicover is present in Romania through the network of Medicover clinics and hospitals and Synevo laboratories and collection centers.
Compared to the equivalent period of 2020, the results reflect a return to medical activity in most markets, as well as demand for new services, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We remain optimistic about the medium- and short-term forecasts. The last few months have clearly demonstrated the strength of our business model and the sustained demand for the services we offer. We believe that one of the aspects of this pandemic will be a better awareness and understanding of the need for quality preventive and diagnostic medical services from the general public and the authorities,” said Fredrik Rågmark, CEO of Medicover.
The cumulative revenues of the network of Medicover clinics and hospitals in Romania and of Synevo Romania laboratories and collection centers increased in the first nine months of the year by 39.9 percent, compared to the similar period of the previous year, up to 126.5 million euros. Romania is the third market as a share of revenues globally, after Germany and Poland, with a total contribution of 12.6 percent.
“The performance registered by Medicover Romania in the first nine months of the year is the direct result of the efforts of our staff, which was in the first line of COVID-19 patient care of investments in state-of-the-art medical equipment, and of attracting top doctors. We continue our mission to take care of the health of our patients and build a safe environment for our employees and patients,” said Dr. Florinela Cirstina, General Manager of Medicover Romania.
