Andreea Negru, ADAA: “The more loyal the employees, the higher the productivity of the organization”
“You need to keep your employees happy in order to retain them and attract new talents. An employee will remain in the company if he feels happy, if he enjoys doing his job and he has a good relationship with the management.
The most important thing is the brand of company because we all appreciate that. Another important thing is the financial power of the company because employees require stability given this pandemic context. Studies show that the productivity of the company will grow if employees are happy,” Andreea Negru, President of the Association for the Development of Local Entrepreneurship (ADAA) said during “Belonging at Work Conference” powered by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“It doesn’t matter if you work from home or in the office if you achieve your performance indicators. If you perform well, you can have and build a career wherever you work from.
We need to start with education to prepare our people for various jobs. We need to educate students and young generations today for the jobs of tomorrow.
We talk about digitalization, innovation, technology but in the end, we are coming back to the human relationships.
A study shows that employee happiness and engagement last for only three months. After that you have to challenge him to become a better version of himself. According to this study, 87 percent of people don’t feel motivated or engaged at their job. The more loyal the employees, the higher the productivity of the organization, with 20 percent better results. However, the chances of loyal employees leaving the company are at 39 percent, according to this study.
The feeling of pleasure or satisfaction at work contributes to increasing the productivity of the company by over 20%, indicates a study conducted by the Association for the Development of Local Entrepreneurship ADAA.
The ADAA study shows that the main stimuli to create a positive emotional state are leadership style, rewards, development opportunities, obligations that each employee has, career success and last but not least, the perception of the company’s soundness. Employers can contribute to the happiness of employees at work by creating a systematized workflow, by involving employees in the company’s work, not only by the work done but also by directly contributing to the creation of the development strategy that gives any employee a sense of belonging to the organization, as well as by developing harmonious working relationships. To all this is added the strength of the team or the strength with which it acts to achieve the objectives, both personally and at the organizational level.
Research shows that the first step for employees to show passion and dedication to the workplace is the real interest shown by employers in their needs. This interest in employees must spread from top to bottom, from the mission, vision and values of the organization, through leaders, to all employees. Passionate and involved employees are happy employees, and a company whose employees are happy and working hard will be an organization that will perform in the long run.”
