DIGI Group contributed 172 million RON to the state budget in the first two months of the year

DIGI Group, through the operations of the telecommunications company RCS & RDS S.A. and of all its entities, which operate in Romania, transferred in the first two months of this year 172 million RON to the state budget, representing taxes and duties. Out of the total of 172 million RON, in February the contribution was 97 million RON.

Between January and December 2021, the DIGI Group had a record contribution of over 1 billion RON to the state budget.

The DIGI Group is the leader of the fixed internet service on the domestic market, with a market share of 61 percent of the total connections registered in Romania, but also on the pay-TV television segment, where it has a market share of 63 percent, according to the data provided by the National Authority for Administration and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM). At the same time, it occupies the first position in the top of operators in terms of portability, with over 3 million mobile numbers ported from 2008 to date, according to data provided by ANCOM and company estimates.

The DIGI Group is one of the largest employers in the country, with over 15,000 employees dedicated to operations in Romania.
