Symmetrica to invest 10 million Euro in the refurbishment of the Suceava plant
Symmetrica, the market leader in vibro-pressed pavers and curbs and the largest local manufacturer with eight factories, announces an investment of 10 million Euro for the complete refurbishment of the factory in Veresti, Suceava, the first production unit of the company, inaugurated in 1999.
“The production unit in Verești was our first factory, and after its inauguration in 1999, it has undergone several modernizations over the last few years. However, after 23 years of operation and in the current context of the profile market, we have decided to invest heavily and to completely change the production lines,” said Sebastian Bobu, Executive Director of Symmetrica.
“The decision to make this investment came in the context in which the market in the North-East of the country has matured in recent years and is increasingly interested in products of very high quality and with a strong architectural impact. We also noticed that the demand often exceeded the local production capacity, and this investment became a necessity,” he added.
The new production lines installed in the factory in Veresti will ensure a higher production capacity by approx. 50 percent compared to the old ones. They also incorporate state-of-the-art technology that will have a major impact on increasing productivity.
One month ago, Symmetrica put into operation the eighth factory in its portfolio, in Solca (Suceava), following an investment of 2 million Euro. It is dedicated to the production of elements for sewer systems. Also, since the middle of last year, the company has allocated funds of 9 million Euro for the expansion with new production lines dedicated to the manufacture of elements for sewerage systems for five of the seven units it owns.
