PNRR: Ministry of Energy launches in public consultation the documents for new call of projects
The Ministry of Energy launched on Wednesday, June 22nd, for public consultation, the documents related to the competitive call – Supporting investments in the modernization, monitoring and efficiency of energy consumption at the level of economic operators in order to ensure energy efficiency in the industrial sector, Investment Measure 5, Component C.6 Energy, National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
These are:
1. State aid scheme with the objective of supporting investments in the modernisation, monitoring and efficiency of energy consumption at the level of economic operators in order to ensure energy efficiency in the industrial sector, as well as the related annexes
2. Specific guide on supporting investments in modernisation, monitoring and streamlining energy consumption at the level of economic operators in order to ensure energy efficiency in the industrial sector, as well as the related annexes
The public consultation period is 10 calendar days from the date of publication on the electronic page of the Ministry of Energy.
Interested persons or entities will be able to make comments and proposals, which will be sent to the e-mail address: consultari.dee@energie.gov.ro
The implementation of the projects financed under this aid scheme aims to implement a minimum of 50 projects aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of the industry, which will lead to an energy saving of at least 30% within the economic activity of the beneficiary enterprises.
Start date and time for submitting projects: 30 June 2022, 10.00 a.m.
Closing date and time for the submission of projects: August 31, 2022, 17.00
If, at the end of the first competitive call, unused funds remained, the Ministry of Energy will open a new registration session.
To whom is the scheme addressed?
The state aid scheme based on the competitive appeal procedure is addressed to the economic operators who are established in accordance with the legislation in the field, respecting the condition of registration with the ONRC in Romania, and who have submitted to the Ministry of Energy the application for financing within the competitive call procedure for granting state aid for a project implemented in Romania.
Potential beneficiaries can be the already existing economic operators – micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, but also large enterprises, entities with legal personality established according to the provisions of Law no. 31/1990 on republished companies, with subsequent amendments, and Law no. 346 of 14 July 2004 on stimulating the establishment and development of small and medium-sized enterprises, with subsequent amendments and completions.
The amount of state aid requested from this scheme shall not exceed the equivalent in lei of EUR 1,200,000 per investment project.
This scheme shall apply from the date of entry into force until 31 December 2025.
The total estimated budget of the scheme is the equivalent in lei of the amount of 62,000,000 euros, representing non-reimbursable European funds provided through the Recovery and Resilience Facility within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – Component C6. Energy.
