Study: 7 out of 10 Romanians are worried about the elimination of construction waste in inappropriate places
It is well known that today more and more waste is produced due to the modern lifestyle of people and that it is one of the largest sources of pollution with a direct and major impact on the environment and quality of life.
In this context, Reveal Marketing Research conducted a nationally representative study to understand the perceptions of Romanians and specialists in the field of construction waste.
The results of the study show that 6 out of 10 Romanians are largely concerned about all the ecological problems associated with the field of construction that influence the quality of life. Currently, their biggest concern is the disposal of waste in inappropriate places (69 percent) and the volume of non-recyclable materials used (61 percent).
Young construction specialists are most concerned about disposing of waste in inappropriate places
In the case of construction specialists, we can see that the most important concerns in this field of activity are the use of fossil fuels in construction (54 percent), carbon emissions (53 percent) and the use of electricity from non-renewable sources (52 percent).
A significant difference in perception is registered in the case of young specialists, under 45 years old, in whose case the disposal of construction waste in inappropriate places (56 percent) is today the most urgent ecological problem in the field of construction.
The concern of specialists regarding the fight against the problem of construction waste is also observed in their daily practice, 40 percent of them preferring to use BCA in their projects. This consumption behavior can be explained by the peculiarities of the BCA material, which allow its easy processing, without losses, reducing the amount of waste produced on site.
