Electrica Furnizare installs 9984 photovoltaic modules for Romaqua Group Borsec, after the successful implementation of the first stage of the project
Electrica Furnizare continues the partnership started in 2021 with the Albacher Brewery, belonging to the Romaqua Group Borsec, and announces the turnkey construction of a new photovoltaic plant with an installed power of 4.6 MWp, on the lands in the immediate vicinity of the Albacher Brewery in Sebeș.
The second stage of the project carried out in Alba county involves the installation of a photovoltaic power plant with an average annual electricity production estimated at 5976 MWh/year. The investment will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 1871 tons per year. “The partnership between the companies Romaqua Group Borsec and Electrica Furnizare is being strengthened by signing a new contract regarding the construction of a photovoltaic power plant.
The project is an EPC (Engineering, procurement and construction) type and involves both on-site and off-site electricity generation, with the resulting surplus electricity being injected into the SEN. Thus, after the completion and integration of the second project, Romaqua Group partner Borsec will have a total installed power of 5.42MWp, which will generate an amount of electricity of up to 7085 MWh/year, thus reducing electricity costs and contributing to the achievement of the objectives of reducing carbon emissions.
“We are honored by the partnership with Romaqua Group Borsec, which involves the supply of 100% certified electricity from renewable sources for the 7 factories located in the towns of Borsec, Bucharest, Bușteni, Sebeș and Stânceni. We have also been selected by our partner as a preferred supplier of energy services and solutions and we intend to expand this successful collaboration by developing new products and concepts in the operational area, so as to continue the sustainable development of Romaqua Group Borsec”, stated Iulian Matei, director of the Key Electrica Furnizare Clients Department.
The second stage of the project developed in partnership with Romaqua will be completed by the end of 2022. “The direct and indirect investments made by the Romaqua Group in terms of environmental protection are embodied in technologies that lead to fuel and energy savings, reduction of pollution, waste, in environmental projects, protection of natural reserves or in the process of recovery and recovery of waste results from production.
In the same direction, the second stage of the project started in partnership with Electrica Furnizare, which will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by over 1870 tons per year, is included.
“The partnership, started in 2021, turned into a long-term partnership precisely because Electrica Furnizare showed us that we are aligned in terms of awareness of the importance of implementing projects whose objectives are sustainable development, environmental protection and efficiency energy costs”, said Radu Lăzăroiu, general director of Romaqua Group.
The first stage of the project consisted in the installation of a photovoltaic power plant with an installed power of 818.8 kWp and an average annual electricity production estimated at 1,108 MWh, an investment that contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 348 tons per year.
