Tobias Matter, Bosch Engineering: “We are working on developing solutions for autonomous, electrified and connected vehicles in Romania”
“We are developing solutions for green mobility here in Romania and green mobility will become the major drive in the future. To make this happen in Romania we need the involvement from the companies, but also from the Government and the local authorities. Small steps can lead to an improvement, and we need strong guidance and willingness to do these steps.
Both here in Romania, but also globally, we are working on developing solutions for autonomous, electrified and connected vehicles,” Tobias Matter, Head of Bosch Engineering Center Cluj said during Green Mobility Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“We have solutions for the end consumers regarding the battery management systems. We also provide solutions to reduce the range anxiety for owners of the electric vehicles. We have battery management systems where we gather data and information about the battery, and we know its condition. Companies who are producing batteries do not exactly know what kind of duration the battery might really achieve.
Talking about autonomous vehicles, we already have automated systems in place, for example automated valet parking. The automated driving is a wide field and a challenging topic especially if we look at the infrastructure side.”
Bosch is investing one billion Euro per year in electrification and has supplied products for more than 5 million electric vehicles.
Tobias Matter is the Head of Bosch Engineering Center Cluj since October 2021. The Engineering Center is an integral part of Bosch Group in Romania and contributes to the international Bosch engineering network to developing excellent products, services and innovative AIoT solutions for automated, connected, and electric mobility.
