Adriana Iacob, Enel X Way: “We will continue to develop the EV charging infrastructure in Romania”
“Enel X Way is a global division of the Enel group that is in charge with green mobility. We want to develop a charging infrastructure that can cope with the growth that we all see in terms of the number of electric and electrified cars in Romania, but also at the global level. Enel X Way operates a public charging network of about 250 points in Romania. We serve 8,000 end customers, owners of electric cars who use our infrastructure daily. We want to help companies that want a private charging infrastructure, offering them hardware solutions, software, installation and maintenance services and the entire support process,” Adriana Iacob, project manager, Enel X Way said during Green Mobility Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“We also collaborate with public authorities in Bucharest, Constanta. We want collaborations with as many local authorities as possible and we would be happy to develop projects in as many cities in Romania as possible.
Official data show that there are about 3,000 public charging stations in Romania. By the end of the year, it is possible that the number of electric and electrified cars will exceed 40,000 in Romania.
The charging infrastructure must be developed, we must collaborate with the authorities to build as many stations as possible both in cities and outside cities.
The electric car is currently an optimal solution for urban mobility if we consider car consumption and charging costs. We encourage the transition to these electric cars and will continue to develop the public charging infrastructure in the coming years.”
