Financial Intelligence awarded the business environment for the performances of 2022 at the FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE Awards Gala
The FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE AWARDS GALA, a flagship event, featured brand-name guests who delivered messages to the business environment about the times we live in and the outlook for 2023.
Bob Menendez, the President of the Foreign Policy Committee of the US Senate, conveyed, for the Financial Intelligence Gala, that Romania remained a firm leader in terms of South-East European energy security: “The announcement of the first small, new, state-of-the-art modular nuclear reactor from Romania, is a perfect demonstration of the strength of our Romanian-American partnership. These reactors will not only generate green energy, but also prevent Vladimir Putin from holding Romania hostage to his energy needs.
These acts of Romanian courage and creativity show not only why Romania is such an important part of the NATO alliance, but also symbolize the proof that Romania is a crucial ally of the Americans. I share the same hopes for European security. We share the same determination to defend our ideals. And we share the same values of respect for international order, the rule of law and democracy.”
George T. Haber, the richest Romanian in the USA, sent a motivational message for businessmen: “When the road is hard, strong people go forward!” He also said: “I wish for all of us to be able to benefit from all the opportunities that the world offers us and to create a much better world through invention, innovation and perpetual change. Good luck and lots of entrepreneurship in everything you do!”
George T Haber is a successful entrepreneur and visionary with experience in implementing and managing high tech companies.
We are currently facing killer inflation that is eroding purchasing power across the planet. And the central banks are the only ones that can effectively fight inflation, having a “weapon” hated by everyone – monetary policy interest, said Adrian VASILESCU, strategy consultant at the National Bank.
Lucian RUSU, Deputy General Secretary of the Government, declared: “I want to congratulate the business environment in our country, which has demonstrated that it is resilient, adaptable and future-oriented. You have responded to multiple crises and continue to do so with great courage and perseverance (…) I assure you that in the Government of Romania there is openness for every problem and solutions are found. Every problem you have we can solve together. Together we really are stronger.”
Dan DRĂGAN, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Energy, told businessmen to develop their own electricity generation projects: “There will be calls for projects, which will be launched in the first part of next year, the amounts are significant and this it will lead to increased resilience and also give greater credibility to the business environment. Thank you once again and we look forward to the calls for projects that the Ministry of Energy will launch in the first part of next year. Congratulations to the team at Financial Intelligence for their hard work.”
Daniel APOSTOL, Director of the Communications Department of the Financial Supervision Authority, congratulated the founders of Financial Intelligence: “I want to congratulate you for the way you help us to try, drop by drop, to offer the general public better knowledge and a better understanding of the financial world, let’s contribute to increasing the financial education of the general public and, through this, let’s all contribute to a more beautiful Romania.”
“Each of us is good in a certain area and it is good to continue adding value to the environment around us”, was the message of Radu Hanga, president of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Vlad Stoica, the president of ANCOM, said: “I want to congratulate the Financial Intelligence team for all their activity and for the sometimes uncomfortable questions they asked, to assure you that we, as an authority, want to be transparent, more open, to listen and to assimilate from the business environment, civil society and mass media, all the observations and all the ideas, so that tomorrow we will be a little better”.
Horia Constantinescu, ANPC president, said: “We must encourage financial education, at the lowest level of a consumer’s existence, from early infancy, so that he becomes so intelligent that he no longer assumes any kind of risk.”
