Sameday Group recorded turnover of 800 million RON, up by 28 percent in 2022
The courier company Sameday Group ended 2022 with a 28 percent increase in turnover, reaching 800 million RON.
The company exceeded the development estimates for 2022, increasing the international portfolio by accessing the markets of Hungary and Bulgaria and by expanding the easybox network by 58 percent compared to the previous year. Investments in technology and state-of-the-art solutions used by Sameday led to a 38 percent increase in parcels compared to the previous calendar year.
More than 27 million parcels, representing approximately 47 percent of all Sameday domestic shipments, were destined for the easybox network. Of these, 73 percent had already been paid online. The number of those who choose to pay cash on delivery, with the easybox card, is decreasing.
“It was a difficult year, in which we took risks and from which we learned a lot of valuable lessons. Sameday is a machine whose engine is based on technology. The evolution of online commerce, where more than 90 percent of our orders come from, the development of the digital environment, but also the attention we pay to technological innovations have helped us create a structure that will transform us into the first choice of business customers. 2022 was a year of lessons that we will apply in 2023, so that our customers’ needs can find the most effective solutions”, says Lucian Baltaru, Sameday Group CEO.
In 2022, Sameday invested over 50 million euros in management solutions, operational services and innovative projects. Sameday aims that by the end of the current fiscal year, technology investments will double their value compared to the previous year, when optimization solutions were developed to facilitate communication with customers, optimize parcel sorting, streamline courier routes or upgrade the solution of easybox software.
