Cyber Resilience Forum: Governmental and Business Forum | May 10, Bucharest
10th of May 2023, “Carol I” Central University Library of Bucharest, Aula Hall
The Romanian Energy Center Association, in partnership with the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Center under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of the Romanian Association for the Security of Information Systems, the Cyberspace Academy and the „Emblematic Romania” Association, are organizing the Cyber Resilience Forum, on 10th of May 2023 in the exquisite location of “Carol I” Central University Library of Bucharest, Aula Hall.
The event will highlight the issues of cyber security and resilience in the critical energy infrastructure while also showcasing examples of good practice and the best available digital technologies, latest developments regarding innovation as well as requirements and programs concerning cyber education and awareness.
The European economy as a whole, and the energy sector in particular, undergo profound changes, its member states being involved in some very ambitious and challenging projects, (1) reaching climate neutrality by mid-century, (2) recovering and assuring resilience within multi-crisis environments and (3) re-engineering international relations and consolidating energy security by reshaping energy inter-dependencies, supply sources and transport routes.
These projects and the „new realities” they determine will significantly test the EU’s leadership in the international arena, the coordination of 27 (plus the 4 EFTA countries) economies and energy markets towards common objectives, as well as the cohesion among the member states.
The common denominator is the digital transformation and the subsequent cybersecurity and resilience challenges.
Consequently, the event is proposing a forward looking perspective of the roadmap towards strengthening the cybersecurity landscape, assuring an optimal and resilient transformation, by bringing together relevant stakeholders, providing lessons learned and an exchange of best practices and technology.

ABOUT THE ROMANIAN ENERGY CENTER ASSOCIATION
Since its establishment in 2011, the Romanian Energy Center (CRE) professional association has become the main platform for dialogue between Romanian institutions and public and private companies active in the national energy sector and their European counterparts.
At present, CRE members represent the entire energy value chain: production and generation of all types of energy sources, transport, distribution and supply, energy services providers, technology and design. As a result, the association can facilitate an impartial critical mass in the dialogue with national and European institutions.
CRE members represent around 70,000 employees and a turnover of 15 billion euros.
