Schneider Electric’s BMS solution implemented at ifm prover factory in Sibiu
Thermo Control, a Schneider Electric partner, has implemented the Ecostruxure Building Building Management System (BMS) solution in the new factory built by ifm prover in Sibiu. The system monitors, controls and manages all electrical and mechanical installations in the factory.
The German ifm group, producer of high-quality sensors, built a new factory in Sibiu to expand its production capacity and meet the growing demand on your market.
“The project started as we would like all projects in which our solutions are involved to start”, said Lucian Ene, Director of Sales for Contractors and Panel Makers, Schneider Electric. “Namely with a detailed analysis of the perspective needs of the factory. The team of engineers from Ecoxpert Thermo Control worked closely with the ifm company to understand the specific requirements of its production activity and propose the most suitable and efficient solutions. The important points analyzed were related to the reduction of CO2 emissions and the calculation of the carbon footprint per product sensor unit.”
EcoStruxure Building from Schneider Electric now offers real-time information on electricity consumption, thermal energy, but also on the state of the installations. In addition, it ensures the optimization of the operation of heating and cooling installations, ventilation, as well as lighting installations.
The factory has installed photovoltaic panels and heat pumps which, integrated in the BMS solution, increase energy efficiency and lower utility bills. Also, the temperature, humidity and pressure sensors, used in the monitoring and control processes, and integrated in the BMS, are produced right in the ifm prover factory.
