Delgaz Grid and Electromontaj have made temporary electricity supply lines for storm-affected areas in Moldova
An extensive technical operation aimed at ensuring the continuity of the electricity supply following a major breakdown in the high voltage distribution network in Vaslui county was successfully completed by the Delgaz Grid company with the help of a solution delivered by its partner, Electromontaj Bucharest.
A violent storm, with wind gusts of over 100 km/h, produced on the night of July 25 to 26, knocked down 13 poles and damaged two portions of the 110 kV Munteni – Husi high-voltage line equipped with two circuits, particularly important for energy transit in the region.
The work started three days after the damage occurred and was completed in less than two weeks.
“These are borderline cases that we don’t come across very often, but the way we react really gives the measure of the professionalism, dedication, team spirit and guild solidarity of people in the energy sector. Such a situation was successfully managed together with our partners from Electromontaj, whom we thank for the promptness with which they carried out the work,” says Cristian Secoșan, Delgaz Grid General Manager.
“We are prepared for this kind of interventions and can mobilize teams in a short time to fix breakdowns, so that we can offer quick and professional solutions in emergency situations. We thank our partners from Delgaz Grid for the trust given by calling on our services and I also thank the people from both teams for the way of working that led to the successful resolution of the situation”, declares Ionuț Tănăsoaica, General Manager of Electromontaj.
Since 2002, Electromontaj has had a solution for quick remediation of possible breakdowns in the 110-400 kV LEA overhead network, unique in Romania, through the use of intervention poles. The emergency system has been used countless times in national networks, but also outside Romania.
