PepsiCo and the Polytechnic University of Bucharest launch professional development program for future engineers
PepsiCo announces a partnership with National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. This collaboration aims to provide students with valuable opportunities and hands-on experiences in a dynamic food and beverage industry environment.
As part of this collaboration, PepsiCo launches the Technical Bootcamp@PepsiCo for Future Engineers program. This program provides students from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest with an opportunity to acquire practical experience in the industry and collaborate with experts from the company. It is specifically designed for students who seek to engage in real-world roles and enhance their skills within an agile working environment. Under this program, each intern will be assigned a project for an initial period of 3 months, with the possibility of extension up to 1 year based on their engagement and performance.
Furthermore, as part of this partnership, PepsiCo and POLITEHNICA Bucharest will arrange student visits to PepsiCo factories, providing them with a firsthand opportunity to observe the processes and operations involved in food production. These visits will enhance their practical understanding of the industry and foster a stronger connection between theoretical knowledge and real-world factory practices.
Additionally, an integral component of this collaboration is the Dragon Training Hall. This facility will serve as a venue for hosting seminars and facilitating hands-on activities for students, enabling them to engage with the latest technologies in an interactive manner.
At the same time, PepsiCo has refurbished a lecture room located within the university premises, transforming it into the modern and functional PepsiCo Hall. This revamped space will serve as a venue for hosting classes and granting students access to specialists from the company. Moreover, several experts from PepsiCo will actively participate as speakers during the courses, providing students with valuable industry knowledge and insights.
“We take great pride in announcing our partnership with POLITEHNICA Bucharest, which allows us to offer students practical learning opportunities in a genuine food industry environment. At PepsiCo, we are committed to attracting and nurturing the most talented young individuals, and this collaboration reflects our dedication to supporting the development and growth of future professionals. Together, our goal is to open doors to exciting career prospects and provide valuable experiences that reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, contributing to the formation of a generation of industry specialists prepared for the challenges ahead. This partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to inspire and transform the future of the industry, and we are thrilled to embark on this journey with POLITEHNICA Bucharest,” said Annie Griffith-Swain, HR Director of PepsiCo East Balkans.
