Romanian architecture students can register for the International VELUX Award 2024 competition
The VELUX Group invites students from Romanian architecture faculties to enter the International VELUX Award 2024 competition, organised on the theme “Light of Tomorrow”. The competition registration period is open until 1 April 2024. The 2024 competition will be in its 11th edition, and previous editions have received entries from more than 6,000 architecture students worldwide.
Since its first edition in 2004, the International VELUX Award has become a benchmark competition for students, future architects who will shape the buildings of the future. The competition invites students to explore the role of natural light in architecture and aims to stimulate innovation in this field. At the same time, the aim of the competition is to encourage and challenge them to develop interesting projects that contribute to a deeper understanding of the essential role that natural light plays in our lives.
In this competition, students will organise themselves in several teams and work on their projects in one of the two available categories: ‘Daylight in buildings’ or ‘Daylight investigations’.
To participate in the competition, the first step for students is to register with an email address and phone number. After completing the registration process, they are encouraged by the organisers to form teams, connect with their guiding professors, and start working on the project. This gives students a few months to develop their ideas into innovative and creative projects. Register for the competition via the following link.
Key dates for the competition
