Corneliu Bodea, Adrem: “Romania needs a system of cooperation between the energy infrastructures”
“The fight against climate change also leads to investments in the IT&C area of the energy system. We live in an era where we must get used to the fact that there will always be conditions for crises, attacks, disturbances.
Cyber-attacks will always succeed if there are enough resources allocated (time, money, technology). The energy industry must respond to these challenges that appear with automation and digitalization. We must be prepared to resist numerous attacks,” Corneliu Bodea, CEO Adrem and President of Romanian Energy Center (CRE) said during Cybersecurity in Energy Forum.
“As a supplier of automation solutions, the Adrem group is actively involved in the topic of cybersecurity because it is the supplier of some of the largest automation systems of the energy system in Romania.
For example, we implemented the SCADA system for Transgaz. The entire natural gas transportation network is very complex and a critical system for the Romanian economy.
Romania needs a system of cooperation between the energy infrastructures, which ensures both protection and self-defense methods against cyber-attacks. We have this concern; we have a team of good specialists, and we are determined to start working on such a project together with the authorities and all interested parties.”
