Distributie Energie Electrica Romania inaugurated a new transformation station in Maramures County
Distributie Energie Electrica Romania (DEER) inaugurated today a new transformation station, in Leordina (Maramures County). The investment amounts to over 28.2 million RON, of which 22.5 million RON is the non-refundable financing.
Following the investment made by DEER, approximately 55,000 users, from 15 localities, will benefit from an electricity distribution service with high standards of safety, and continuity. This investment also allows for a more efficient takeover of the renewable energy produced in both existing and new plants. It will also improve the energy efficiency of installations, by reducing technological own consumption in existing networks and facilitate the connection of new consumers, both households and SMEs.
“I am happy that, in a period full of challenges, we managed to complete a very important investment, both for us and, above all, for our users. Thanks to the teams that worked on this project, both within DEER and the executors. It is the first project with European funds completed this year, we have 4 more large projects that we will complete by December 31, and we are not stopping there.
In the future, we, the DEER team, will focus and involve ourselves in making new investments from non-reimbursable funds.
We are here, in historic Maramureș, on the Vișeului Valley and the Izei Valley, an area that, in my opinion, is one of Romania’s greatest traditional cultural and tourist riches. So, this investment will benefit, in addition to the approximately 55,000 users, the hundreds of thousands of tourists who will visit the area in the coming years, who will benefit from a high-quality distribution service”, said Mihaela Rodica Suciu, the general manager of DEER.
