Golin Romania appoints Cristina Butunoi as Executive Director
PR agency Golin Romania announces the appointment of Cristina Butunoi to the position of Executive Director. After more than 13 years spent in the Golin team, including the last three in management, Roxana Dibă concludes her tenure. Hortensia Năstase will continue to be part of the agency’s management process as Vice President of Creative Services Lowe Group.
Additionally, the agency established the Golin Advisory Committee (GAC), a consultancy structure whose role is to provide analysis and critical thinking for the agency’s strategy, product, and team development. The changes will be effective starting from April.
“The new Golin management team is a reflection of the emphasis our group has placed for over 30 years on promoting talent and supporting innovative individuals. Cristina is a professional with vast experience, a mentor to colleagues, a trusted advisor to clients, and a valuable partner for our group. I wish her every success in the new role, and I am confident that, alongside the entire team, she will uphold the agency’s name at the top of the industry and synonymous with performance. I thank Roxana for her impressive journey within the agency, a demonstration of Golin’s strongest assets: inexhaustible ambition and the power of a united team”, says Sever Savanciuc, CEO Lowe Group.
With over 20 years of experience in corporate and brand communication, as well as public communication and the non-profit sector, Cristina Butunoi has just successfully completed a three-year term as Deputy Managing Director at Golin. Throughout her career, she has coordinated award-winning campaigns at major local and international festivals, contributing to the strategic development of brands in industries such as energy, banking, industry, retail, real estate, IT, pharmaceuticals, and FMCG. As a member of the Board of Directors of the IAA, she represents the interests of clients and agencies in this important industry forum.
“I already have a strong connection with Golin on many levels, spanning from our exceptional team to the long-term partnerships we’ve forged with most of our clients. I eagerly anticipate the new chapter ahead and have full confidence that there will be campaigns that will not go unnoticed. It is an exciting time for our industry, with a lot of trends that will influence communication in 2024: from AI to Deep Fake, from elections in 64 countries to various post-pandemic questions still seeking answers. Golin’s positioning at the intersection of earned-first and cultural-relevance remains a primary driver in this context”, says Cristina Butunoi, Executive Director Golin.
